10-inch hand-painted tholu bommalata leather shadow puppets of Rama, Sita and Hanuman. Sold as a set. With or without the wooden acrylic frame
The puppets have joints at the waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists and ankles, so you can place it in a number of poses. They are flat and translucent, allowing light to shine through and make the colours glow. They are painted on both sides, so you can place them facing either direction.
Being hand painted, this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections are what make it special.
The Teak Wood Frames can be bought with the puppets - These work well for both wall and table decor

Tholu bommalata roughly translates to 'dance of the leather puppets', and is a centuries-old form of shadow puppet theatre from the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
