This cute merchandise is a byproduct of a design intervention in the craft of Channapatna, that's helping this age old craft survive.   

Channapatna is a traditional craft popular for their colorful toys handcrafted in Channapatna, a town in Karnataka, India. It is also known as "Gombegala Ooru" .The toys are made using traditional techniques and natural dyes, making them safe for children

The craft dates back to the 18th century when Tipu Sultan, ruler of Mysore, invited Persian artisans to train local craftsmen. This led to the start of a unique toy-making tradition that combined Persian techniques with local aesthetics. 

This hangers double up as decor with functionality. Hang scarves or light items off these hangers and hooks or leave them as decor  

Being a hand made product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections is what makes it special.

Instructions for Care : To clean use a soft cloth to wipe. Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture
